‘R.I.P.D.’ Gets An International Trailer

R.I.P.D. got a lot of stick after its first trailer for looking exactly like MEN IN BLACK. Well, this international trailer, which includes a few extra bits of footage, doesn’t do anything to challenge those accusations. Ryan Reynolds plays a cop who dies but is given the job of joining the R.I.P.D. a group of dead lawmen that track down dead souls walking the Earth. He’s partnered with Jeff Bridges as an old wild west marshal. Everything, from the buddy atmosphere, to the humorous tone, and even the set design and set pieces, scream MEN IN BLACK. It’s certainly not on my ‘To Watch’ list and I feel as though this may be another flop for Ryan Reynolds.

R.I.P.D. is released 19th July in the US and 30th August in the UK. It stars Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, Mary-Louise Parker, Robert Knepper, James Hong, Marisa Miller, and Stephanie Szostak.
