Graphic First Trailer for ‘300: Rise Of An Empire’

Despite the visual prowess of Zack Snyder’s 300, it’s not really known for its narrative glory over the optical brilliance. Tonight, we have the first trailer for the follow-up, prequel, sequel or a f-prequel if you wish. The trailer gives us a lot of fighting, more of the classic-CGI slash and grab plus the rather lovely faces of Eva Green and Lena Headey, oh, and the usual ripped, muscular men which made it so popular with men and women across the globe.

I’m not really sure what this first look into the world shows us, but we do know that its all about the Greek general Themistocles and his army, as they battle an invading army of Persians under the returning mortal-turned-god, Xerxes. Take a look below and try not to laugh at all the mentions of wind, which should be probably sound more serious than it does.

Noam Murro directs with a co-written screenplay by Kurt Johnstad and Snyder and if SUCKERPUNCH is anything to go by, we apologise in advance. However…moving on quickly, check out yesterday’s poster and here’s that trailer in full:
