Always a controversial directing talent, Lars Von Trier follows up the powerful one-two sucker punch of ANTICHRIST and MELANCHOLIA with yet another risqué project. Frequent collaborator Charlotte Gainsbourg leads NYMPHOMANIAC as a troubled, self-diagnosed sex addict who recounts her erotic experiences to a man who saved her during a back-alley beating.
That’s pretty much all we know, and to be honest, all we need to know about Von Trier’s latest which packs an all-star cast including Shia LaBeouf, Stellen Skarsgaard, Christian Slater, Jamie Bell, Willem Dafoe, Jesper Christensen, Udo Kier, Hugo Speer, Uma Thurman and Connie Nielsen.
Check out this first poster for the film still awaiting a release on both sides of the Atlantic but hits the filmmakers native homeland of Denmark at the end of this month.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
