The highly anticipated end of the Edgar Wright/Simon Pegg/Nick Frost ‘Cornetto Trilogy‘ that started with SHAUN OF THE DEAD and HOT FUZZ will hit cinema screens even sooner than imagined. THE WORLD’S END was recently moved up in the US to be released on August 23rd, but not to be undone, it has now been revealed that the release date in UK cinemas has been moved up to July 19th.
The story for THE WORLD’S END centers on five childhood friends going through an epic pub crawl in order to reach the fabled pub, “The World’s End”. But as they make their way to the pub, they discover that the fate of humankind is on the line.
THE WORLD’S END is directed by Edgar Wright. It stars Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Paddy Considine, Martin Freeman, Eddie Marsan, and Rosamund Pike. It will be released in US cinemas on August 23rd, and in UK cinemas on July 19th and we can’t bloody well wait!
