Dubbed ‘pretty mediocre’ by film fans, DreamWorks Animations’ THE CROODS is set for a sequel.
Starring the voices of Nicholas Cage, Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds, the story follows the lives of a prehistoric cave family who have to leave their home after it’s destroyed. The film has so far garnered $400 million at the worldwide box office. Although that’s impressive, many believe that DreamWorks are grasping at straws with a planned sequel, as THE CROODS financial success comes off the back of the RISE OF THE GUARDIANS fail. The studio will discuss the news at their panel at CinemaCon.
