‘Twas last summer when THN had their first look at an aging Ben Stiller and Kirsten Wiig and now we’ve got another shot of the Stiller, who also produces and directs in THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY, based on the 1939 short story by James Thurber. This doesn’t exactly give anything away, but those guys across the pond got a sneak peek during CinemaCon 2013.
Here you’ll find him wandering somewhere, armed only with a skateboard and some form of draw-bag. I still find it hard to take Stiller 100% seriously, as he’s got a cheeky face, but I’m always eager to see what more actors can do and this is an interesting project/remake with a great cast that includes Kristen Wiig, Patton Oswalt, Adam Scott, Kathryn Hahn and Sean Penn. In THE SECRET LIFE OF WALTER MITTY, Stiller plays the title character, a shy photo manager, who passes his time by daydreaming of exciting adventures – only to be sucked into a real-life one, while searching for a missing film negative. I know Stiller has got that serious turn in him, and so I’ll be keeping an eye out:
