Before we finally see his signature comic creation on the big-screen in ALAN PARTRIDGE: ALPHA PAPA, Steve Coogan will reunite with director Michael Winterbottom following their terrific trio of 24 HOUR PARTY PEOPLE, TRISTRAM SHANDY: A COCK & BULL STORY and THE TRIP. THE LOOK OF LOVE has Coogan play Paul Raymond, the notorious entrepreneur who went on to become Britain’s richest man with his porn mag publications and string of risqué nightclubs.
It will chart Raymond’s rise from humble beginnings to his glamourous heyday as a husband and father, which turned tragic in his latter years with an event that he was unable to recover from.
THE LOOK OF LOVE co-stars Anna Friel, Tamsin Edgerton, Chris Addison, Matt Lucas, Stephen Fry, David Walliams and Imogen Poots. Click the first trailer if you missed it but here is the first clip from the biopic hitting the UK 26th April.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
