THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES is the new film from the director of BLUE VALENTINE, Derek Cianfrance. It sees Ryan Gosling capitalising on his DRIVE success by playing a motorcycle stuntrider that decides to rob banks. Of course his skills on a vehicle mean he’s exceptionally good at getting away, but he is soon at odds with an idealist police officer, played by Bradley Cooper. The latest UK trailer is short but brilliantly exciting. I can’t wait to see the chemistry, of now real life couple, Gosling and Eva Mendes, as well as seeing how Cooper develops after his Academy Award Nominated role in SILVER LINING’S PLAYBOOK.
There’s also a neat (Yeah! I said “neat”) Italian poster which is the very epitome of minimalism.
THE PLACE BEYOND THE PINES is released in the US 29th March 2013 and in the UK 12th April. It stars Ryan Gosling, Bradley Cooper, Eva Mendes, Ray Liotta, Rose Byrne, Dane Dehaan, and Bruce Greenwood.

His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies.
