GODZILLA started filming today and it may not be much, but director Gareth Edwards has uploaded a greeting from the set. It’s clear to see that this scene will take place in a Japanese airport. Could it be that Ken Watanabe’s character is heading to America to help with their big lizard problem? Who knows? I most certainly don’t. We’ve also got some of the first set images which tease a big military presence, including a helicopter that looks as though it’s had a run in with some atomic breath.
GODZILLA will be released 16th May 2014. It stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Juliette Binoche, Ken Watanabe, Bryan Cranston, and David Strathairn.

Luke likes many things, films and penguins being among them. He's loved films since the age of 9, when STARGATE and BATMAN FOREVER changed the landscape of modern cinema as we know it. His love of film extends to all aspects of his life, with trips abroad being planned around film locations and only buying products featured in Will Smith movies. His favourite films include SEVEN SAMURAI, PASSION OF JOAN OF ARC, IN BRUGES, LONE STAR, GODZILLA, and a thousand others.
