The star-power in the upcoming G.I. JOE: RETALIATION will mostly likely save the project from suffering the same fate as Bryan Singer’s equally long-delayed JACK THE GIANT SLAYER. Both films were moved from their original early summer slots last year, after being scared off by the likes of THE AVENGERS, THE DARK KNIGHT RISES and PROMETHEUS. The delay has allowed the studio behind John Chu’s all-star action sequel to reshoot a number of key scenes and correct the early plot details which saw man-of-the-moment, Channing Tatum, killed off. It’s now expected he’ll stick around longer and most likely feature in a second sequel should it prove a bigger hit than its predecessor.
Check out these latest clips (which when joined together have been attached to prints of HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS) and IMAX poster for the film set for release 27th March and co-starring Dwayne Johnson, Byung-hun Lee, RZA, Ray Park, Adrianne Palicki, Ray Stevenson, Walton Goggins and Bruce Willis.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
