Gerard Butler’s in action man mode once again for terrorist-thriller, OLYMPUS HAS FALLEN. The film is directed by Antoine Fuqua (TRAINING DAY) and sees the 300 hunk as a troubled, forced-from-duty Secret Service Agent, called back into action when the White House comes under terrorist attack. A simplistic premise that should have anticipated action fans excited. Especially with the similar WHITE HOUSE DOWN (directed by Roland Emmerich and starring Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx), also on the way!
Check out these new stills from the film co-starring an impressive line-up of Radha Mitchell, Morgan Freeman, Aaron Eckhart, Angela Bassett, Rick Yune, Dylan McDermott, Ashley Judd, Cole Hauser and Robert Forster. It has a US release of the 22nd March and a UK date set for the 19th April.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
