Bay’s Pumped Up ‘Pain & Gain’ Trailer Arrives!

The film that set TRANS4MERS (come on, you just know that’s how they’ll promote it) in motion sees power-hungry explosive director Michael Bay take on passion project PAIN & GAIN, based on journalist Pete Collins fact-based crime articles. The film centres on the steroid-boosting weightlifters of a local Florida gym, who came up with an elaborate scheme to extort money by kidnapping a powerful businessman. Things however, took a tragic turn when they murdered the man to cover their tracks.

For such a shocking turn of events, Bay and his cast seem to think it’s fine to play the film for BAD BOYS laughs in the crazy story that is said to stick close to the actual facts, so who am I to judge. So here is the films’ first trailer. As always, we’d love to know your thoughts.

PAIN & GAIN stars a pretty great cast of Mark Wahlberg, Dwayne Johnson, Anthony Mackie, Ed Harris, Tony Shalhoub, Rebel Wilson, Rob Corddry and John Turturro. Oh, and Ken fucking Jeong.
