According to The Hollywood Reporter, Chris Hemsworth is circling the Men In Black reboot over at Sony Pictures. The Thor star is said to be in very early negotiations to join the planned film, which will be directed by Fast and Furious 8 director F. Gary Gray.
The trade says that the movie will feature new characters rather than Agents K and J, portrayed by Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith, respectively, and build on the contemporary sci-fi world in which they operated – very much like filmmakers did with the Jurassic Park with Jurassic World.
The as-yet-untitled movie has a screenplay written by Iron Man scribes Matt Holloway and Art Marcum, and will be released on June 14, 2019.
Hemsworth will next be seen in this spring’s Avengers: Infinity War.
