AMERICAN PSYCHO director Mary Harron returns to dark storytelling for her latest effort THE MOTH DIARIES. Based on the novel by Rachel Klein, THE MOTH DIARIES focus lies with Rebecca, who is struggling to find a connection with anyone, after the suicide of her father. That is until she meets Lucie at the all-girl boarding school she begins to attend, this soon sees the two girls friendship blossom. As they grow closer, Rebecca soon becomes jealous with the arrival of Ernessa, and an obsession that the newcomer may be in fact a vampire, after a series of grisly deaths. Could this all be in Rebecca’s fragile mind, or are supernatural forces actually at work?
Here we have both the brand new poster and trailer for THE MOTH DIARIES, check them out below. The film stars Sarah Bolger, Lily Cole, Sarah Gadon, Scott Speedman and will be released in the US, 20th April but has no UK release date as yet.

Craig was our great north east correspondent, proving that it’s so ‘grim up north’ that losing yourself in a world of film is a foregone prerequisite. He has been studying the best (and often worst) of both classic and modern cinema at the University of Life for as long as he can remember. Craig’s favorite films include THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION, JFK, GOODFELLAS, SCARFACE, and most of John Carpenter’s early work, particularly THE THING and HALLOWEEN.
