Cable network channel FX and Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl are joining forces in an effort to develop a rock band comedy.
The sitcom will be created by Dana Gould (THE SIMPSONS, SEINFELD) and will have Grohl in an executive producer role. The show will follow a troubled rock group as they take advice from an antisocial couples therapist in attempt to resolve their musical differences and save their careers.
With Tom Lassally (BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD) Dave Becky and Bill Gerber (LOUIE) working alongside Grohl and Gould as executive producers, the show has an impressive line up of television veterans who might just well create something pretty decent.
Grohl is no stranger to acting roles and seems to love being in the limelight. I’d say it’s likely he will at least make an appearance in the show if he doesn’t end up starring in it. The concept seems solid enough and the team involved have made some quality products in their careers.
Regardless of what your opinions of Grohl and or the Foo Fighters are, there’s no denying the man would be able to offer some entertaining rock related anecdotes and with proper guidance, perhaps the show will be a nice edition to the already impressive FX comedy line-up.
Any information as to when the show will air is yet to be released but with any luck we are in store for, at the very least, a fairly entertaining show.
