Swapping his $100 million + budgeted fares like CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER, director Joe Johnston will next helm the micro-budgeted far NOT SAFE FOR WORK for Universal Pictures.
The film, which is based on a script by Adam Mason and Simon Boyes, centers on a young paralegal who is trapped in the office with a killer on a mission to destroy files for another corporation. The film is produced by Jason Blum, the guy responsible for the likes of INSIDIOUS and PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, both of which were made for next to nothing, but reaped huge returns at the box office.
The cost of NOT SAFE FOR WORK is reported to be around the $2.5 million mark.
