The Dark Knight Rises will start shooting in May, says Christopher Nolan

by Paul Heath

According to the man himself, Christopher Nolan, The Dark Knight Rises, the third film in his Batman saga, will start shooting in May of this year!

Speaking at this year’s Santa Barbra festival over the weekend, the British director said (of the script): “We’ve worked on it a long time – (screenwriter) David Goyer and myself. We’re about 12 weeks away from shooting.” Nolan said.

Also, as previously discussed, it looks likely that this will be Nolan’s last film in the series as he said that “It was about finishing the story.”

Tom Hardy is confirmed to play Bane in the movie, while Anne Hathaway is on board to play Selena Kyle, the woman who eventually becomes Catwoman.
