He is about to star in the big screen adaptation of the novel I AM NUMBER FOUR, and now Alex Pettyfer looks set to play British racing car legend James Hunt in a film based around his life. The film, adapted from Hunt’s biography Shunt: The Story Of James Hunt by Tom Rubython.
Hunt was one of the fastest drivers on the Formula One circuit back in the 1970’s, but was as known for his wild exploits off the track as much as on it. The driver won international acclaim and vast wealth, but died just as pennyless as he was born.
John Pelermo will produce the film with Pettyfer. The project is currently searching for a writer to adapt the book.
