The hot new director Rodrigo Cortes behind the hit BURIED is well under way with his next feature, RED LIGHT. In previous weeks the cast has began to shape up pretty well with Robert De Niro and Sigourney Weaver leading the way and now it has been announced that Cillian Murphy has joined the ranks.
The plot is situated around Sigourney Weaver‘s character Margaret Matheson who is a para-psychologist who attempts to debunk a very reputable psychic (Robert De Niro) who has just returned to the limelight after 30 years. Weaver has an assistant in the film which /Film speculate to be Cillian Murphy.
Hopefully this is a bigger role than we have seen in the past from Cillian since he seemed to of been treated more of has a joke in THE DARK KNIGHT than scary, dangerous psycho and is one of the most under utilised actors around and has, I think, portrayed some fantastic characters such as the above picture from BREAKFAST ON PLUTO.
The art work was one of the biggest selling features of BURIED and so far the one image released isn’t the greatest, I’m sure that will improve.
