Mike Myers is moving from the SHREK franchise across to another animated movie in the form of Pepé Le Pew, based on the Looney Toons/ Merry Melodies cartoon character. The film will actually be a mix of live action and CGI animation and Myers will provide the voice of the title character.
This from Vulture:
Created in 1945, Pepé Le Pew starred in over a dozen animated short films for Warner Bros., and one of them, Chuck Jones’s For Scent-imental Reasons, even won the Oscar for Best Animated Short Subject (Cartoons) in 1949.
The film is part of Warner Brothers’ plan to reinvigorate some of their popular cartoon characters like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Porky Pig.
The SHREK franchise, which Myers provided the title character’s voice in four movies, have made over $1.2 billion worldwide.
