One of the two comedies of the last decade that I can watch over and over again is Todd Phillips‘ OLD SCHOOL. The other is his more recent hit, and I mean his $467 million hit, THE HANGOVER. With box-office numbers like that, we were bound to be offered a sequel. We are. It’s happening and up until now all we had were web rumours as to what the film would be about and more importantly, where it would be set.
We’ve heard that Thailand was the next destination for Alan, Phil and Stu through the Internet grapevine. Then those rumours were shot down. Now, it seems that Thailand may indeed the next party destination after Latino Review uncovered a leaked plot outline. See below!
After a hard night of partying Stu gets really drunk and ends up sleeping with a Thai tranny. The next day the guys have to try and rehash the night and figure out what happened.
The three main leads Bradley Cooper, Zack Galifianakis and Ed Helms will be back for the sequel, albeit with massive pay increases, along with director Phillips.
Warner Brothers, the studio behind the first film have set an official release date for THE HANGOVER 2. May 26, 2011. That is less than eight months from now. Better get a wriggle on Todd! Is that enough time?
