Variety are reporting that a screenwriter has already been hired to write a screenplay for a sequel to the bound-to-be-biggest-hit-of-2011, Green Lantern.
Michael Goldenberg will start to work on Green Lantern 2. His body of work includes Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Where the Wild Things Are, Peter Pan and Contact.
Green Lantern, directed by Martin Campbell, and starring Ryan Reynolds in the lead, has just finished shooting in New Orleans, and will be released around the world on June 17, 2011.
