Despite being out there for a week, and dropping 50% in takings over its second weekend, Sex and the City 2 is still top of the UK box-office.
Takings for the ensemble comedy fell by more than 50 per cent in its second week on release but the Sarah Jessica Parker film took £1 million more than its nearest rival to remain at the top of the UK chart.
Sex and the City 2’s chart-topping performance in the UK follows almost universally negative reviews on both sides of the Atlantic.
The Top 5:
1 Sex And The City 2 – £2,473,043(1)
2 StreetDance 3D – £1,144,239 (2)
3 Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time – £821,661 (3)
4 Death At A Funeral – £696,280 (-)
