A host of Hollywood stars are amongst those nominated for this year’s Tony awards. The noms were announced yesterday and Catherine Zeta-Jones, Denzel Washington and Scarlett Johansson are amongst those in the running to pick up the prestigious gongs.
Jude Law, Laura Linney, Alfred Molina, Christopher Walken, Kelsey Grammer and Viola Davis are also nominated in various categories.
Scarlett Johansson is up for Featured Actress In A Play, for her role in A View From The Bridge, while Zeta-Jones is nominated for Best Performance By A Leading Actress In A Musical for her role in A Little Night Music. Washington is up for Best Actor in Fences, as too is Jude Law for Hamlet.
Green Day’s American Idiot is up for Best Musical.
