Well, this is great news for fans of films like Casino and Goodfellas as Martin Scorsese, while out doing the rounds promoting his new film Shutter Island, has revealed that he is planning to work with Robert De Niro on a brand new mobster related project. The pair last united for the aforementioned Casino all of the way back in 1995. Was it really that long ago?
The news agency Reuters report:
“Bob De Niro (and I) are talking about something that has to do with that world,” Scorsese told reporters after a press screening of Shutter Island, where the audience reaction was decidedly muted.
“There’s no doubt about that. We’re working on something like that, but it’s from the vantage point of older men looking back, none of this running around stuff.”
You can read more about Shutter Island and the ‘muted’ reaction that it received over in Berlin this past weekend at the Reuters site at the end of the link below.
