The word on the street is that director Paul Greengrass has exited his directing duties on the fourth Bourne movie. The reason is apparently down to screenwriters.
A site called The Playlist is reporting that two scripts were turned in for the planned project, which is set up at Universal. The first one was turned in by George Nolfi and a second by Josh Zemuter. The site reports that no one likes Nolfi’s version, and that Greengrass was not consulted by the studio in the hiring of Zemuter. This is apparently the reason for his departure.
Matt Damon’s involvement is now in doubt as the actor is very friendly with the Brit director.
