The British group will are about to embark upon their biggest shows to date, and in practice for larger, arena sized rock shows, frontman Alex said he went to see a number of pop performers to get ideas as to how they worked the crowds.
He said: "I'd never even been to a show in an arena. But recently, knowing we've got this coming up, I've been trying to dip my toe into that.
"So I've seen Britney Spears, I saw Kylie the other week and we went to
see Beyonce in Japan - to try and see how it all pans out.
He added that while he enjoyed the concerts, the singer and songwriter will not be getting any crazy ideas about how the new shows will play out.
He added: "Well, there's not going to be circus performers or bass solos. There's not going to be any horn sections. But you can't try to be coy with something that big.
"You can't hold back. That's what I've learned from those three anyway. Kylie was terrific by the way."
Arctic Monkeys start their UK tour on November 13 in Liverpool.
