The Truce (1998) Movie Review - Reviewed by: Adam Mast, Zboneman.com

Acclaimed author Primo Levi's autobiographical novel (of the same name) adapts to the small screen in a most touching manner. John Turturro (Barton Fink, Miller's Crossing) plays Levi in a very restrained manner, chronicling his journey home to Italy from Poland. From the concentration camp at Auschwitz to the frozen land of Russia to the exotic land of Greece, director Francesco Rosi paints an extremely poignant portrait of a man caught in the aftermath of the world's darkest hour.
