I Still Know What You Did Last Summer 1998) Movie Review - Reviewed by: Adam

This
worthless sequel to the less than inspired original has the honor of being one
of the worst films of the year. Julie James (Jennifer Love Hewitt) continues to
have nightmares about the events that transpired in the first film. In an attempt
to help Julie relax, her best friend Karla (pop singer Brandy) decides to take
her on vacation to the Bahamas. Unfortunately, slashers don't die and Julie soon
finds her vacation cut short as the killer follows her to her destination, much
like the ludicrous Jaws the Revenge.
I
Still Know is one of those processed sequels without any thrills or imagination.
It's sole purpose is to make a quick buck and thrive off it's predecessors name.
Hewitt and Brandy run around screaming and showing off their bodies, but neither
breathe much life into the film.
Director
Danny Cannon (Judge Dredd) brings nothing new to the genre. In fact, he can't
even get a standard horror cliche right. To top that off, the most shallow audience
member should be able to figure out one of the films biggest culprits in the first
ten minutes.
As
in the original, this one ends with a lame sequence indicating that we may have
an 'I Still Really Know What You Still Did Two Summers Ago' to look forward to.
I urge everyone to save their time and money - this is ninety minutes and six
dollars I will never get back.
