Balthazar Getty (Lord of the Flies) plays a young man who spends his days with his loving, pregnant wife (Rebecca Gayheart) and his nights working at a gas station in an ugly part of L.A. His life changes when he meets Stuart Chappell (energetic Peter Weller from Robocop), a novelist. Chappell introduces a lifestyle to Getty that he no longer wants to be a part of.

Director Isaac H. Eaton tries to shock the audience with an ugly subculture that exists deep within the bowels of the city. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. What does work, is a brisk pace and a charismatic performance from Peter Weller. Shadow Hours s is a 90's morality tale that could have used a little more plot to go with its visual flair.
