Best Make-Up Oscar Shortlist

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences have announced the seven films in contention for the Best Make-Up Oscar. They are Miramax Pictures' The Aviator, MGM Pictures' De-Lovely, Warner Bros. Pictures' Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Sony Pictures /Revolution Studios' Hellboy, Paramount Pictures' Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, Newmarket Films' The Passion of the Christ and Fine Line Features' The Sea Inside.

So, 'Passion of the Christ' is shortlisted for the first time. As always with these preliminary nods, the seven are whittled down to just three after 10 minute clips of each film are screened on Januray 22nd before the Makeup Award Nominating Committee.

Nominations for the 77th Annual Academy Awards will be announced on January 25th.
