Another day, another awards event to cover. This time, it's one of the bigger ones,. the Screen Actors Guild, who early this morning announced their 11th annual nominations.

The big five movies featuring outstanding performances were The Aviator, Finding Neverland, Million Dollar Baby, Ray and Sideways.

The nominees for male actor in a lead role include Johnny Depp for "Finding Neverland," Jamie Foxx for "Ray", Don Cheadle for "Hotel Rwanda", Leonardo DiCaprio for "The Aviator," and Paul Giamatti for "Sideways."

Nods n the female category were Annette Bening for "Being Julia," Catalina Sandino Moreno for "Maria Full of Grace," Imelda Staunton for "Vera Drake," Hilary Swank for "Million Dollar Baby" and Kate Winslet for "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind."

It's also well done to 12-year-old British actor Freddie Highmore, who has been included in the best supporting actor category for "Finding Neverland". He joins James Garner for "The Notebook", "Thomas Haden Church" for Sideways and Morgan Freeman for "Million Dollar Baby".

The nominees for best supporting female actor are Cate Blanchett in "The Aviator," Cloris Leachman in "Spanglish," Laura Linney in "Kinsey," Virginia Madsen in "Sideways" and "Rwanda's" Okonedo.
