People's Choice Award Winners

Each year the People's Choice Awards are voted for online, and this year more than 21 million votes were made. The winners were revealed in Pasadena, CA.

Both Fahrenheit 9/11
and Mel Gibson's Passion of the Christ scooped the top gongs, taking best film and best film drama respectively. In other categories, Shrek 2 was named best animated film, Johnny Depp was named favourite male movie star, Julia Roberts the top female movie star, and Renee Zellweger was favourite leading lady.

In the television categories, Matt Le Blanc scooped favourite male TV star and CSI's Marg Helgenberger bagged favourite female TV star.

Nominees for the People's Choice Awards were picked by some 6,000 people who are part of Entertainment Weekly magazine's "Front Row Panel", then winners were decided via online voting, reports Reuters.
