The Oscar ballot papers have been mailed out to each of the 5,808 voting Academy members. The ballots then have to be completed and returned to the independent auditors, PricewaterhouseCoopers by the 15th of January, 2005 which will tabulate both the nomination and final award ballots.


The deadline for a film to be valid for competition at this year's Oscars has to have completed a seven day run in a Los Angeles County theatre by this coming Friday, the last day of the year.
