Seven Pictures In The Running For Best Visual Effects

Seven films are in the running for the Best Visual Effects Academy Award. The seven will become three for Oscar consideration after Fifteen-minute clips reels from each of the seven films are screened for the Visual Effects Award Nominating Committee on January 19th. The seven films are, The Aviator, The Day After Tomorrow, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, I, Robot, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and Spider-Man 2.

The nominations will be announced with the other categories on January 25th, 2005.
