Zemeckis To Get VES Gong

The Visual Effects Society is to award filmmaker Robert Zemeckis with a Lifetime Career Achievement Award. The gong is the VES's highest honour.

The award is given "recognizing an artisan whose contributions to the filmmaking industry have advanced the craft of visual effects".

Zemeckis will receive the award at the 3rd Annual VES Awards at the Hollywood Palladium on February 16th, 2005.
