I will be compliling my own 'best of 2004' toward the end of the year (bet you all can't wait for that one), but before that we have the films honoured by the American Film Institute. The AFI have named ten film amongst the best of the year.

The institute have also released the ten best television shows of the year, and the list includes South Park, The Sopranos and one of my own personal faves, Nip/Tuck.

AFI will honor the creative ensembles for each of the honorees at a luncheon on Friday, January 14, 2005, in Los Angeles, California.

Here's the two lists in full.
