Hugh Jackman has a happy marriage because he has date nights.

The 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine' star -  who has been married to Deborra-Lee Furness since 1996 - has revealed he and Deborra always make time to just be with one another to keep the romance in their relationship alive.

He told America's OK! magazine: "Make sure you have a date night just the two of you together, without the kids."

hugh-jackman-real-steel.jpgAustralian hunk Hugh Jackman is to battle 2000 pound robots in the new Shawn Levy directed film REAL STEEL.

Trade paper Variety says that the film is a 'Rocky-esque tale of a fighter who has to reinvent himself when human boxing becomes obsolete, replaced by 2000 pound human-like robots. Jackman is negotiating to play the ex-fighter, who becomes a Robot Boxing promoter, but whose chances of success are hampered by his access to sub-standard robot parts. That is until he discovers a discarded robot that always seems to win. The ex-fighter has also discovered he's the father of a 13-year old son, and they bond as the robot brawls its way toward the top.'

Sounds kinda cool and a hughe departure for Levy, the man responsible for bringing Steve Martin flicks THE PINK PANTHER and CHEAPER BY THE DOZEN to screens, as well as the Ben Stiller comedy NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM and its sequel, which was released earlier in the year.
wolverine-2-japan.jpgHugh Jackman has been speaking to MTV about the planned WOLVERINE 2 movie, which looks like it is going to kick off production!

Jackman told the music channel's website:

"Japan is where we're heading, [and] we're starting to work on it now. We're in the ... first steps of developing that story," Jackman said about adapting Frank Miller and Chris Claremont's story arc.

He added: "I think the fans love that saga. It's my favorite saga of the Wolverine stories."

X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE was a huge hit earlier this year with Gavin Hood at the helm.
Australian actor Hugh Jackman has signed on to star in new movie THE GREATEST SHOWMAN ON EARTH, a musical where he will play American showman P.T. Barnum.

hugh-jackman.jpgBarnum was a showman with a penchant for hoaxing a gullible public as he creates the three-ring circus that made him famous. The musical also focuses on his infatuation with singer Jenny Lind -- the so-called Swedish Nightingale. Trade paper Variety says that it will also feature a contemporary musical score, and the studio is said to be in talks with British singer-songwriter Mika to write the music and lyrics for the film.

Anne Hathaway is said to be being lined up to play the female lead, Jenny Lind.

Jackman will produce with DREAMGIRLS producer Laurence Mark and John Palermo.
