fantastic_fox_logo.jpgAccording to a press release that we received earlier on, Wes Anderson's THE FANTASTIC MR. FOX is set to open this year's London Film Festival.

The Times BFI London Film Festival is proud to announce that this year's Festival will open on Wednesday 14 October with the world premiere of FANTASTIC MR. FOX, from visionary director Wes Anderson (THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS, THE DARJEELING LIMITED).

Anderson's first animated film, which he co-wrote with Noah Baumbach, uses classic handmade stop motion techniques to tell the story of the best selling children's book by British author Roald Dahl (author of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and James and the Giant Peach). The film features the voices of George Clooney, Meryl Streep, Jason Schwartzman, Bill Murray, Wally Wolodarsky, Eric Anderson, Michael Gambon, Willem Dafoe, Owen Wilson, Jarvis Cocker and Helen McCrory. It is produced by Wes Anderson, Scott Rudin and Allison Abbate.
nhff-poster-web.jpgA wealth of British stars will be out to support British film as the Notting Hill Film Festival gets underway on Friday 10th July at Kensington Odeon. The week-long festival promises to bring the limelight to Kensington as A-list stars turn up in force to support their work.

An eclectic mix of genres will be shown, from horrors to music documentaries and fight films. We have some amazing red carpet events which we want people to join in with. Every night has a special gala screening with Q & A with the filmmakers and stars of the film afterwards. We will be kicking off with the Gorrillaz docu-film 'Bananaz' on Friday night, followed by Nick Moran's directorial debut 'Telstar'.
