True_Blood_2DDVD.jpgOne of our fave TV shows is hitting DVD in the UK this week, the superb US TV show True Blood.

From the creator of Six Feet Under and the Academy Award® winning writer of American Beauty (Alan Ball) and featuring the sexy, eclectic cast of Academy Award® winning Anna Paquin(The Piano, X-Men), British actor Stephen Moyer (NY-LON), Alexander Skarsgard  (Generation Kill) and Ryan Kwanten (Home and Away) TRUE BLOOD is the show that everyone is talking about.
terminator_salvation_dvd_2ds.jpgSony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced that they will release Terminator Salvation on DVD and Blu-Ray in the UK from November 23rd. We have all of the info after the jump.
The film has been described as action-packed, high-octane and indeed a lot of fun. It has also been, in places, described as crap, but GI JOE: THE RISE OF COBRA is coming to US DVD and Blu-Ray in November all the same, and we have the details...

Check out the box art for the release [via our fancy widget], complete with Harry Knowles quote!

pe-bd.jpgOne of my favourite films of this year is the Johnny Depp/ Christian Bale starrer PUBLIC ENEMIES, which was released in the summer. I had the excellent opportunity to sit in the same room as both Johnny Depp and director Michael Mann earlier on this year after watching the film for the first time myself. It really is one of the best of the year.
t4bd.jpgSome more information on the upcoming TERMINATOR SALVATION DVD/ Blu-Ray release, which is set to hit US stores on 1st December. We have a full spec list and the new artwork for the release.

bruno-blu-ray.jpgThat's right, the summer's best comedy flick (aside from THE HANGOVER) BRUNO is coming to British Blu-Ray and DVD from November 9th. Sacha Baron Cohen stars as his Austrian alter-ego in a flick that doesn;t hold back. The BBFC have reportedly passed over an hour of deleted and alternative scenes along with an interview with Lloyd Robinson (5m 29s) and an enhanced branching video commentary for both DVD and Blu-ray. More info soon.
hangover-dvd.jpgOne of the best movies of the year bar none (in any genre) was Todd Phillips' THE HANGOVER, and we're pleased to announce that the film is heading to DVD and Blu-Ray in the US this coming December 15th just in time for some festive laughs.

Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Justin Bartha and Heather Graham star.

DVD Review: Observe and Report

oandrdvd.jpgColin reviews the DVD for OBSERVE AND REPORT.

On paper, 2009's Observe and Report looked like a stinker. It came from writer/director Jody Hill, the "mastermind" behind the awful Foot Fist Way, it starred the seriously overexposed Seth Rogen, and it featured a plot that seemed like little more than a rehash of Paul Blart: Mall Cop. How could it not suck?

DVD Review: Deadgirl (2008)

Colin J reviews the horror flick.

deadgirl-dvd.jpgEven after all these year, PR hype can still influence me. Before I received the press release for 2009's Deadgirl, I knew nothing of it. However, references to it as "groundbreaking" and a movie that "made headlines around the world" enticed me. Worst case scenario: I get a review out of it!
