Matt Damon is set to be directed by Clint Eastwood (again) in the new movie HEREAFTER. Eastwood will direct and produce, but it is not known as to what the story revolves around. The word is that it is Clint's first foree into the supernatural genre. Peter Morgan (THE QUEEN) wrote the screenplay.

What is cool, is that Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall are executive producing, along with Morgan and Tim Moore.

Colin gets his teeth into GRAN TORINO on DVD.

For years, Clint Eastwood resisted public demands to bring back "Dirty" Harry Callahan. Via 2008's Gran Torino, he throws fans a crumb, as the movie provides the closest thing to Dirty Harry we're likely to ever get.

Eastwood plays Walt Kowalski, a recently widowed Korean War veteran who's lived in the same suburban Detroit neighborhood for years. Over that time, the area's racial complexion has changed, which the bigoted Walt doesn't much like. Still, he stays to himself and deals with his own little world.

The Clint Eastwood Nelson Mandela film, which was called THE HUMAN FACTOR, but now going by the title INVICTUS, is going to be released in cinemas this coming December 11th, according to Variety. Perfect timing for awards season then...

The story, based on John Carlin's novel "Playing the Enemy", follows Mandela (Morgan Freeman) as he attempted to use the 1995 Rugby World Cup to help heal the wounds of his nation as he was released from prison.

Matt Damon stars as Francois Pienaar, the captain of South Africa's rugby team.

BTW INVICTUS is Latin for Invincible.
