One of my favourite films of this year is the Johnny Depp/ Christian Bale starrer PUBLIC ENEMIES, which was released in the summer. I had the excellent opportunity to sit in the same room as both Johnny Depp and director Michael Mann earlier on this year after watching the film for the first time myself. It really is one of the best of the year.

Christian Bale has finally opened his mouth about a third movie in the Batman series. He spoke to Total Film in the UK.

"Will we do a third movie? It's got to be the right story. You can't make something like 'The Dark Knight' and then come out with something disappointing.

"I would like it if people say, 'You'll never make a good third movie.' I say, 'OK, let's make a third movie in that case, let's prove them wrong. But that's just me. The fact is, I have to! I've signed up! Chris doesn't. So I'm in a bit of a fix if he says he doesn't want to!"

He is, of course talking about Chris Nolan, who is currently shooting his sci-fi flick INCEPTION in the UK. More here.
