Gossip Girl star Chace Crawford has replaced Zac Efron in the planned remake of the classic 1980's Kevin Bacon film FOOTLOOSE.Paramount had set a June 18, 2010 release date for the film, but it looks like that will be pushed back as filming doesn't start until March.
Kenny Ortega, who helmed the three "High School Musical" films, will direct.
