Dark Woods trailer!
Posted in: Trailers and Clips, Movie News
A buddy of mine over in Hollywood (of all places) has just put together a trailer for his self-produced film DARK WOODS, a psychological horror/ thriller set around a young married couple who move to a secluded area to cope with the wife's terminal illness. As the wife's condition gets worse, the husband's growing detachment from her forces him into a tumultuous relationship with a local teenage girl whom he rescues from a sexual assault.

The legend that is James Russo stars opposite Tracey Coogan.

It's out later in the year. Check out the trailer right here.

Movie Babe of the Day #2: Sharon Stone
Posted in: Trailers and Clips
Sharon Stone dances with another woman in this sexy clip from Paul Verhoeven's Basic Instinct. We haven't seen this super-hot 1992 movie for years, which kinda got us thinking. In fact, I was just a spotty 15-year-old when this first came out, far too young to see it in a cinema - and boy, Sharon was hot. Is she still hot? Wowser!

Hit it!

'Frequently Asked Questions...' poster and trailer
Posted in: Movie News, Movie Posters, Trailers and Clips
Poster_Final_small.jpg
We have just received a brand new poster for the upcoming British comedy FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT TIME TRAVEL, which is heading into cinemas in the UK on April 24th. Take a look at the official (long) synopsis, said poster and the hilarious trailer.

Look out for a review on THN quite soon.

Three men walk into a bar; two geeks and a cynic. They are three ordinary blokes who all have dreams and hopes for an exciting and better future. They are stuck in boring jobs with no prospects. They are frustrated and life on the whole looks uneventful.

They are about to sit down and have an average night out in their local pub, a few beers, a bit of banter and joking, and putting the world to rights. There is no reason to suspect anything unusual is going to happen.

The first geek, Ray, has a well-known obsession with time travel, so when he is approached by Cassie, a woman who claims to be from the future, he naturally suspects a prank. The second geek, Toby, is obsessed with films, and upon hearing Ray's story of the woman from the future, naturally assumes that Ray is pitching him a film plot. And Pete, the cynic, naturally doesn't believe any of it, until he accidentally stumbles through a time leak into the future of the bar. Which happens to be full of dead people, including himself.

This triggers the start of a series of accidental trips back and forth through time, during which our heroes frantically try to avoid multiple earlier versions of themselves, to avoid creating a time paradox, in an attempt to unravel the mystery of just who is trying to kill them and why.

When Ray and Cassie get together in the garden and the world spins back on its axis, everything is back to how it should be. Or is it? When Ray mentions the other woman he met in the bar, Millie, to Cassie all hell breaks loose... Serious questions are raised, such as; exactly what are the golden rules of time travel? What exactly is a paradox? And what's really so bad about ceasing to exist? Whose round is it? Is the sell-by date on a packet of crisps really that important? And most importantly of all, can Ray get it on with Cassie, the woman from the future?

British comedians Chris O'Dowd, Marc Wootton and Dean Lennox Kelly star with Anna Faris for Gareth Carrivick, making his feature directorial debut with a script from first time feature writer Jamie Mathieson

Posted in: Movie News, Trailers and Clips
Picture_2_10.png
Okay, so here's a trailer that is in no doubt going to attract a largely male viewing demographic, the second trailer for the Jessica Biel film POWDER BLUE. Why will the boys like this? Well, the future Mrs. Timberlake plays a stripper in the film which some sites say will see her making her first fully-nude appearance.

Unfortunately, the film is going direct-to-dvd and Blu-Ray, or rather, fortunately the fils is going direct-to-dvd and Blu-Ray, so you will be able to watch it in really massive high-def in the comfort of your own living rooms/ bedrooms. The official release dat is June 9th, 2009 (region one). So look out for it. So... wanna see the new trailer which features Jessica stripping/ cavorting/ taking a bath? Yes? Well, pan on down, past the official synopsis for the film (we have to include that), and hit the image.

Several Angelenos meet on Christmas Eve through chance, tragedy and divine intervention. Patrick Swayze will play the sleazy owner of the strip club where Jessica Biel's character dances. Eddie Redmayne will portray a mortician who falls in love with her. Kris Kristofferson will play the head of a corporate crime organization who tries to convince his former employee (Ray Liotta) not to seek vengeance on his former co-workers. Forest Whitaker, who also serves as a producer on the film, will play a suicidal ex-priest. Newcomer Alejandro Romero will play a transsexual prostitute who shares an unexpected bond with the priest. Drag Me To Hell trailer!!!
Posted in: Movie News, Trailers and Clips
So, Sam Raimi has a new film coming out, and guess what? It has nothing to do with spiders, or spider-men on dead people that just happen to be evil. Actually, that last one might apply as DRAG ME TO HELL doesn't quite sound like a new romantic comedy now does it?

The plot revolves around a loan officer (Alison Lohman), who is ordered to evict an old woman from her home. Said loan officer finds herself the recipient of a supernatural curse, who turns her life into a living hell. Desperate, she turns to a seer to try and save her soul, while evil forces work to push her to a breaking point.

Justin Long and Meagan Good also star in the film, which hits cinemas on May 29th.

Watch the trailer by clicking the link below. Welcome back Mr. Raimi!
