Mel Gibson has had his DUI charged wiped completely from his record. Digital Spy has the info:

The Braveheart actor was arrested in July 2006 after driving while intoxicated. He was subsequently sentenced to three years' probation on a misdemeanour charge of driving under the influence (DUI).

However, the star filed legal papers in September asking a judge to remove the DUI from his record because he has completed the terms of his probation.

Roger Avary, who co-wrote the 1994 Tarantino movie PULP FICTION has been sentenced to one year in jail following a conviction for causing a fatal traffic crash in Southern California. On top of that, he has also received five years of probation. The Associated Press report the facts via ComingSoon.net.

As you saw on the site in a post late last night, film director Roman Polanski has been arrested on 30 year old rape charges in Switzerland this past weekend (read more about that here). In follow-up news today it seems that Polanski is all set to fight and extradition moves put forward by US authorities.

According to Daily Variety, Polanski's French lawyer said ealier on Monday that the director would fight extradition as the arrest has 'spiraled into an international incident, with France announcing it had appealed to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for his release.'

Polanski has lived in Paris and avoided countries with extradition agreements with the U.S. since being charged in 1977 for having sex with a 13-year-old girl.

Meanwhile, Zurich Film Festival jury president Debra Winger on Monday demanded the release of Polanski from jail in Switzerland.

US singer and actor Chris Brown has been sentenced to 180 of community service following his admission to beating pop star Rihanna. Brown admitted the charge back in June.

The BBC reports:

The 20-year-old R&B star pleaded guilty in June to beating Rihanna, his former girlfriend, before the Grammy awards in Los Angeles in February.

The judge said Brown must do physical labour, not community service, and attend domestic violence counselling.

Brown must also stay at least 100 yards from Rihanna for the next five years.

BLACK HAWK DOWN and PEARL HARBOR actor Tom Sizemore has been arrested in Los Angeles on alleged domestic violence charges.

Trade Variety reports.

Police spokesman Richard French says the 47-year-old actor was arrested Wednesday night in the downtown area. French did not have details of the incident.

French said Sizemore remained jailed Thursday morning. His bail was set at $20,000.

Sizemore couldn't immediately be reached for comment. Representatives for two agencies listed as representing Sizemore said they no longer did so.
