"Extreme
mental, physical and emotional pain and suffering"
are the claims behind Bruce Willis' lawsuit against
the makers of his 2002 flop 'Tears Of The Sun'.
The suit was filed on October 20th, but revealed only
Monday, courtesy of The
Smoking Gun.
Willis aims particularly for Revolutions Studios and
Special FX specialist Joe Pancake (I swear to god even
IMDb confirms the name), regarding a negligently placed
and detonated squib, a special-effects explosive that
substitutes for real, live gunfire. The suit cites that
Revolutions and Pancake have exposed Willis and others
to 'Ultrahazardous activity'.
The
movie will certainly have been a bad experience for
the actor, and vice versa. During the shooting, Willis
and director Antoine Fuqua clashed repeatedly on various
topics, prompting the director to call his star the
biggest "pain in the ass" he's ever worked
with.
To add to an already volatile situation, critics buried
the movie upon release, and Box-Office totals were about
$25M short of expenses.
Time
for another Die Hard, Bruce???
