Alfie Fever Hits London

Well, it was the big premiere of Alfie in London's Leicester Square last night and the film's stars, Jude Law and on and off-screen girlfriend Sienna Miller, both turned up for the event. The couple seemed VERY into one another, but Miller put the record straight regarding their engagement rumours.

"We're very happy, things are great," she said, before reiterating the couple are not engaged. "I don't understand why some newspapers wrote that," added the 22-year-old actress.

In the film Jude plays Alfie, a modern-day lothario, and the film is based an Michael Caine's massive 1960's hit. In this version, the action switches from swinging London to present day New York. Film insiders (including an un-named web editor of this site) slammed the film as soon as it was announced, but Michael Caine has given the film a thumbs up.

"I think it's great that Jude is playing Alfie. He is a friend and I'm a great admirer of his. I think he's a wonderful actor." he said.

The film opens here next Friday, October 22nd.
