A new series of Celebrity Big Brother will return to British television screens next January, so say sources to The Sun newspaper.
After a ratings flop with the show's replacement, Celebrity Hijack this past January, Channel 4 bosses are set to bring the show back, just two years after the Jade Goody race row that hit screens in 2007.
A C4 source told The Sun: “We never said that Celebrity Big Brother would be
gone forever.
“We wanted to give it a ‘time out’ — a resting period after all the friction
and chaos of the Shilpa and Jade saga.”
CBB hit the headlines and the channel were forced to make an apology after Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty was bullied on air.
