Brawn GP teams up with Terminator Salvation

In advance of the worldwide release of the highly anticipated motion picture Terminator Salvation, Formula One championship leaders Brawn GP will join Sony Pictures Releasing International to feature imagery from the film on their cars at the Grand Prix of Spain, which begins today. The film will be released in Europe and around the world June 3, 2009.

With the exception of 2002�s Chicago, 1978�s Grease represented the last gasp of the Hollywood musical as popular entertainment. And what a gasp it offered! At least at the box office, Grease kicked some serious tail. The movie earned $181 million in 1978, a figure that earns it the spot as the highest-grossing musical of all-time. Of course, if we adjust the figures for inflation, 1965�s The Sound of Music easily grabs the top position for the genre, and 1964�s Mary Poppins also beats it. But Grease remains number one based on actual figures, and anyway, it�s still the biggest hit musical that doesn�t star Julie Andrews!

With this Blu-ray edition of Star Trek, we get the fourth (!) release of �The Original Series� over the last decade. First came versions with two episodes per disc, and then Paramount packaged the shows into season sets. 2007/2008 provided remastered versions � and HD-DVD transfers for Season One. That remained the only high-def �TOS� until now; HD-DVD perished before Paramount released Seasons Two and Three.

First, the good news. Alex Proyas' new film Knowing is nowhere near as dull as the recent remake of the The Day the Earth Stood Still nor is it as laughably awful as M. Night Shyamalan's The Happening. Now for the bad news. Despite it's hefty ambition, this fusion of science fiction and religious theology never completely gels.
