A WORLD OF WARCRAFT movie is being planned, and the film is set to be a massive $100 million production, according to reports.

The news was announced at BlizzCon 2007, where producer Thomas Tull (300) said that the film would be released sometime in 2009 and is targeted for a PG-13 rating. The film will be set approximately a year before the start of World of Warcraft, and interweaves the story of various races, lands and a new hero into a two and a half hour feature told from the Alliance perspective.
The flick will be live-action and will incorporate "CG environments and effects". No director is attached as yet. More news as and when.
